    Japanese assistance

I suspect there are a few mavens on this forum who might be able to provide some information on planes I picked up in Osaka in the 70's and 80's. The first blade pictured is 60mm and the 2nd and 3rd is 38mm.

    Thanks,

    Ron

Left one is made by Dogyu, nothing special but still in production. Bought one a couple months ago.

Middle one, not sure. My kanji-fu is broken today. I don't think it's anything spectacular, just a cheaper (but proper) plane.

Right one, says 'Sakura-Tomoe' which I've never heard of per se, but Tomoe still make a bunch of planes and they're widely available. Typically economical smaller planes and stuff the 'proper' plane makers have tended to generally abandon due to lack of interest. They're ok, but nothing special.

    Hope that helps,

    Stu.

My wife says the middle one reads: "Guaranteed Quality", "Registered", and "Specially selected". The large middle symbols are probably the brand name. The middle character is "ichi" - number one. Don't know what the right angle symbol means.
