It looks like the plate extends past the backing based on where that top bolt is. is the slit for the plate visible on the top of the handle?
To me, the hang angle looks standard yet the handle looks lower if that makes sense. The push does not look real horizontal like low hung ones yet its physical position looks like them.

If you look at the bottom of picture five in the first post you can see the saw plate and the holes. The plate is about 3/4" longer than the backing. Yes, the slit for the plate is visible on the top of the handle.
