    Acacia HF

Not sure which variety of Acacia it is, but I like the grain and color!
I turned this last night, endgrain from a log. It's 7 1/2" x 5" and walls are about 1/8" with just a coat of danish oil so far. I'll probably add some WOP and then buff.

    Thanks for looking!

Yea... the grain does look cool, kind of like how a canon wall looks.
Your opinions and advice are welcome on anything i post - Thanks

Great looking wood, great looking form. I always get some inspiration from your pieces.

    Thanks for sharing.

PS Kathy, are you leaving the pith in or drilling it out?

Really nice, Kathy! I just love the wood you get down there, and this end grain turning really shows off the sapwood on this piece.

Pretty wood and form Kathy. Reminds me a lot of mesquite...what little I have actually seen.

you sure balanced the colors nicely.

Really nice, Kathy. Did you turn this wet? Does it warp much?
