first pc off lathe and some new toys

Well it has been 4 plus long years to get to this point but now that I am here it feels good to be turnning again. Power hooked up 2 weeks ago. And shop time has begun. First pc off lathe with changing the opening three times before it blew at the end. But happy with it being consistent through out used the monster, LOVE IT..Attachment 223099

Second pc about 14" came off fine, was nervous the whole time but pulled it off, then roughed out a walnut bowl2nd pc.jpgwalnut 1.jpg

bandsaw was hooked up , versa flow came in and my wife added her two cents from our honeymoon, not sure I want this to happen with most of the people coming out to the shed but.............bandsaw.jpgversaflow.jpgbooty.jpg
started the fourth pc with hopefully many more to come....................pc 4.jpg

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. I really like the form of the tall vessel you have begun. Please keep us updated as it comes together. as far as the Vortex goes, Ididn't realize it had a diving board. Nice tripple flip with a double twist. LMAO

Shop looking good but no curlies. The tall vase I like so far and I really like what I see of the bowl.

Very nice shop and some sweet looking tools.

  9. I remember when my dust filter was that nice clean, blue color! Great shop...I'm envious of all of your toys!
