New Ridgid R4512

Just bought myself a Ridgid R4512 from Home Depot for $450 which is a big upgrade from my DeWALT 745. After assembling and flipping it over, I noticed a little rust where the protective plastic sheet was wrinkled on the cast iron top. Also, there's a ton of oil on the cast iron.

Should I clean off the oil? Also, what's the best way to get the rust off the top? It's just a little surface rust, nothing big.

Clean the oil off with steel wool and hit the rusty spots a little extra, then put a nice coat of paste wax over top of the table to prevent future rust, speaking of which I need to go apply another coat of wax to my table saw.
