    Super Silver Maple

I thought I'd post this one as a tasty little bit of picture-candy for you creekers. This one came from an arborist friend of mine that needed help cutting up a tree--his 25" bar didn't meet in the middle of two cuts, so I helped out with my big Stihl. This is one of the nicer figured bowls, but lots more coming up! This one is about 11" by 4" deep.

I forgot to add a pic of the tree as we were cutting it up.

Yup, that is some real eye candy! But it doesn't look nearly as good in the before pics. I think you must have had something to do with bringing out the beauty.

Nice bowl, Nate. That tree is similar to one my friend took down last year. I've still got a bunch of it in my shop but I'd be surprised if it looks that good.

Man that is some great looking maple! I'm not as big of a maple fan visually as most, but I'm a sucker for feather...especially feather like that. I'd go so far as to say that I'll be a shame to put things in the bowl, might get in the way of that beauty. Can't wait to see the rest!

Curly silver maple with a touch of Ambrosia - hard to beat! Nice work on the bowl, too! What finish did you use?
