I am subscribed to a Yahoo woodworking group and got an email this evening with a link to a very cool and interesting website. It has many pictures of very old woodworking machinery as well as many other types of machines. Wasn't sure if this was the right forum to share this or not but I know most of you will be fascinated by the images contained on the website.

I would love to play around with the treadle horizontal slot mortiser. Such a cool little machine. Maybe some company should start reproducing these as eco friendly versions of modern power tools.

I was a active member there for years. Still have a lot of old machines, but not purchasing any more. You've got to love those old machines. I had a Porter 16" jointer that was from the 20's if not earlier. Replaced the cutter head with a more modern one and poured the Babbitt bearings for it. After 90 years the tables were dead flat. I called it the aircraft carrier. 1300#'s of Beloit IL/WI iron.
