Recently completed a jewelry chest/nightstand combination piece for a co-worker and he paid me partially in cash and partially with the promise of some nice white oak that was cut from his property in Pennsylvania and had been drying for about a year. Well, today we hooked up to transfer the bounty from his truck to mine and here is what I got. Some really nice looking white oak...relatively knot free, but nice clean stuff. Most are 5 1/2" wide by just under six foot long and the shorts are well over two foot long by the same 5 1/2 inches wide. All stock is cut and planed down to 1 1/8 inche thick and are very flat with no curl, or twist. Nice stuff. And get this...he says he has more stuff...even longer, back at his place in the mountains if I want it.
