I have used my PC ROS for automotive work, both steel and fiberglass as well as cleaning up my cast iron table tops, then just change the disk and use it on wood with no problem.

I've used mine to re-hab old tools in the past. Just surface rust on the tops but no ill effects and they're still going strong.

If you're gonna strip anyway, why wash first?
Blow out the sander when you're thru.

On the other hand, I still have five fingers.
