    Avenger Pro Countersink Set

Does anyone have experience with this set from Rockler? Anyone know the country of origin? I see Lee Valley has a USA made set. But they have standard drill bits instead of tapered. Also the Rockler set comes with stop collars and plug cutters. Are there other sets in this price range that you can recommend. How desirable is the tapered bits vs strait?

I have only ever used the Wolfcraft ones from the big box stores and found that the tapered bits had a tendency to break.

    Here is the parent company.

I use Snappy which I am pretty sure are US made and Fuller which I am 100% sure are US made, I like them both. I only use tapered. You are correct that LV doesn't sell a NA made tapered bit countersink.

BTW I haven't had the issue of unusual breakage.

Of all the laws Brandolini's may be the most universally true.

    Deep thought for the day:

Your bandsaw weighs more when you leave the spring compressed instead of relieving the tension.

I've never used either, but I had the Snappy set in my hands last week...made in the USA.
