Thread: Boxwood market?

    Boxwood market?

I don't deal with 'exotic' woods much. Our church is pulling out a good deal of boxwood with wood a little over 2" diameter. Is it worth saving?

    Yes. Ornamental turners love boxwood.

I think he means boxwood plants that they're pulling out. So the wood will be green and need to be dried.

Caution, it warps (and if I recall correctly splits) something fierce. Search around on the neanderthal haven, George Wilson had started an interesting thread about curing it a while back. It is useful for all sorts of things though.
