Congratulations on the first bowl, John! I wish my first bowl was half as nice as yours. Lots of great information and lots of really nice people here who are willing to share their knowledge with you. Welcome!

Nice looking first bowl. Good inside curve and outside. Looks pretty thin also. I hope the bottom is signed.

    Looks good to me John!

Actually, it's a fantastic first bowl. Perhaps even more impressive, you're already looking for ways to improve your next... I'm looking forward to it(with a slightly smaller foot;-))

This is a great first bowl, you're on to a great start, and with a great lathe. Thanks for posting.

Great looking bowl. Sign it, date it and put it on display. Like most I have my first and still grin when looking at it.

John - that is a nice bowl... especially for a first! Be sure to sign and date it as there is only one 'first' bowl!

As to your soaring eagles comment... please keep in mind that we are all turners here and can appreciate and take joy in each others efforts no matter whether that member is a beginner or someone who has been playing just a little longer. We all look forward to seeing your next turning! Remember - have fun... and it will show in your work!
