Here is another new piece that I took for Gallery Walk. This piece is 17" tall by approximately 5 1/2" wide and made from Walnut. The wall thickness goes from 1/32" for the top 4" or so and then gradually increases to 3/16" at the bottom. I drew the design, wood burned it and then pierced it. It's been pierced with a 300,000 rpm dental tool. This was my first try at gold leaf. Gold leafing is much harder than I thought it would be! I was amazed at how the light is gathered to the bottom of the vase by the gold leafing. I must have had 20 people ask me what kind of light I had in the bottom...lol. Your comments and critique are greatly appreciated.
TIA, Ken
