Fred, that's an awesome contraption!!! That's started the gears turning, I'm gonna have to start figuring out how to build one, that's the cleverest design I've seen. I can see spending hours playing with that, and you've done some amazing work with it! Too Cool!!!

Very clever. Probably as much fun to make as it is to use.

I also really liked the guitar work. Who is it?????

Thanks, Fred. I've been scratching my head for months trying to figure out how you did that. It's pure genius. You really think outside the box (or the bowl in this case). Thanks for sharing.

I love this! Very clever indeed! That had to take some time to put together.

    Neil,
Thanks. I have heard of them, but not familiar with their music. Definite Jimi/Stevie Ray Vaughn influences.

Reed-It may sound familiar because the guitar part is "supposed" to be a tribute to Jimi Hendrix and his intro riff in the song "Little Wing." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THP5x...layer_embedded

Fredo, Amazing work, and unique too, thanks for sharing - think I may have to pinch a windscreen motor from somewhere... (Oh, and get a lathe that runs that slow...)

    Glenn,
Very familiar with Hendrix. Unfortunately I can only play like him in my dreams.

Maybe there is still time for me to be a rock and roll star......

Thanks everyone for your interest and comments. It was fun to make and operate. It adds another option to external decoration.

For those interested in the music it is an instrumental cover of Pearl Jam's Yellow Ledbetter.

For those interested, here's a link to my photo album with many other turnings I've attacked in one way or another with a router: Album
