Nice. Looks like a Millers Falls brace with a "lion" chuck? Can't tell from the photos, but those are nice, and it looks like a nice brace regardless.

The auger bits are a nice find, too, if they're in decent shape - I have never found a set in the wild in a roll that wasn't rusted all the heck; something about the rolls encourages rust in some instances, I guess. The worst are the ones in canvas rolls that have been stored poorly.

Regardless, congrats, and have fun with 'em!

The drill is Millers Falls, the brace is a Stanley.

The bits do have a little rust, but should clean up OK. They're all Irwin.

Use a fine brass wire wheel, I use one I purchased from LV to clean up auger bits, it makes them look as good as the day they were made.

    Wow!

Thanks Christian, I just ordered one.

It should be pretty useful in my DeWalt MBC rehab as well.

Interesting trivia: The block plane was made on contract to the Federal Govt., so I assume that's what the "CG" suffix means. LOML joked that it should be pretty valuable as the original owner probably paid a fortune:-)

Dang, I wish I could get out and hunt for rust.

    Nice find indeed.

I didn't have to hunt too hard, the sales was about 200 yds down the road:-) LOML called and told me to get down there, fast.

Looks like a Stanley 813G. I have one branded for Wards. They have a nice heavy-duty ball-bearing chuck.

I would say that's a good haul anywhere.
