    Jet 1642-2 Gloat

I know if doesn't count if you don't have pictures, but I am still going to gloat. Ordered mine Thursday, arrived today at 1:30 and got a couple of neighbors to help assemble. Just hooked up the cord after dinner, plugged her in, and voila. Put a 2x2 about 12 inches long on it and turned it up to over 2K RPM. Quiet as a church mouse.

    LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Tom! You will love the lathe and will find yourself spending lots more time turning because it is so much more fun with a good lathe!

Looking forward to seeing the photos!!

Steve, I was spending all the time I could on the old 1236, but you are correct, the time I will spend will be much more enjoyable.
