    Shop Fox Mortiser

After doing tons of research and checking prices all over the place I finally purchased a mortiser. My research led me to pick the Shop Fox as the one to buy because of it's many superior features. Then I found a local store (The Woodworker's Shoppe in Madison, TN) that had them for $189. The cheapest I could find on the Internet was $200 plus $50 shipping charges.

I've used the machine in building a combination coffee table / storage chest out of cherry and it worked great. It came with only one chisel (1/2") so I'll probably be buying a couple more sizes.

Really enjoy the forums. Keep those posts comming.

BTW, I hope my old signature is gone. I guess it was offensive to some folks.
    Be safe and have fun!

    Jim,

Congrats on the new mortiser, but before we can really congratulate you, we have to see a pic!

I just got a delta and I have been very happy with it as well!

Nice Mortiser Jim. I have the Delta 14-651, but I've heard all positives about the Shop Fox.
