Just picked up a little under 600bf of 4/4 White oak for just a bit over $600. Some boards are over 16" wide most are 8" - 13"
Good Score?

You could sell 1/3 of that and make back your outlay, nice haul.

You wouldn't want that stuff, Dave - it's "California Oak" a hybrid of Redwood and Cannabis.
Notice that the front wheels of his vehicle are still on the ground. Light weight, and bug infested no doubt.
He should glue it up for silhouettes...I think a line of yard art signs including "Beware of Hamster" is in the offing.
This is less than I paid for a lift of "get it outta heya" oddballs at Downes and Reader clearance last year.
So, what ya gonna make? Nice score.
Gonna use it all to smoke meat in the BBQ all summer!!
j/k
a big hunk of it will be for all new kitchen cabinets for a client. the rest will be used for anything and everything that comes along.
also i might sell some of it if anyone is interested
So, tell us the details of why so cheap...
is that quarter sawn? if so, great score! if not, really good score!
600 bd ft of WO for $600.00 would definitely be a killer deal.
What I don't understand though... is how the pickup is sitting. 600 bd ft of WO weighs around 2,400.00 lbs. Considering how much is hanging out the back of the truck, your back tires should be bulging big time and the front end should be pretty light.

Well ya see real dried lumber is not near as heavy as the box stores dried lumber! Russ
