    Buckeye Burl HF

I'll just never tire of this stuff...absolutely love it . The colors that can vary from a silvery green color to blond, geez, what more can you ask for.

This was turned a few months back...but just got around to taking pics .

7" tall and 4" diam, finished with a couple coats of antique oil and then buffed out. Looks like it could use a little more buffing after sitting a while.

    C&C welcome as always.

Very nice form, wood and finish. This was the sort of form I had in mind when I embarked upon my recent Oregon Myrtle Hollow Form, but got diverted somewhere along the way.

Great form to show off that wood Tim! A shorter HF would not have brought all that grain to light! Speaking of light...work on those pic buddy...this one deserves super shots!

I think this equates nicely to wood turning as well . . . . .

Incredible piece of wood and you did a great job bringing out all of it's character. I've seen so many beautiful pieces made from buckeye burl, I just gotta get me some.

  15. Wowzers! that piece of wood really has some pizzaz! Nice work Tim...........I'd like to find a piece of burl similar to that one.........that would make a beautiful center piece for a table!
