    Live Edge Dogwood Mirror

Just made this mirror over the weekend. The wood is dogwood and it measures about 33" by 29". This is the first time I've made something from dogwood, and have to say it's a wonderful wood to work with. Sands, cuts, and finishes great.

That's cool. What did you use for a finish?

Several coats of Minwax wipe on poly, then Daly's BenMatte.

I use my doweling jig to join the corners, and a router to cut the dado for the mirror to fit into.

Did you put a back board on the mirror or just use clips for mounting?

I used trim pieces of wood around the edge of the mirror, then attached them with screws.
