Where to buy lumber near Greenville, SC?

So I just moved to the Upstate about a month ago and am in the progress of getting my shop set up. Where does everybody shop for lumber around here? I had the guy that came to my house to install my TVs (it was part of the relocation package, I am not that lazy!) mention that he knew of a local sawyer that was dirt cheap but up by the mountains. I have also seen some small sawyers advertise on CL. At the moment I am looking for decent cabinet grade plywood for shop cabinets and jigs. Eventually I will be looking for a decent amount of cherry for a bedroom set that is in the planning stages.

    Thanks,
    Ben

I would check out Asheville Hardware. They've got some great slabs.

    Thanks for the recommendations guys!

Chris, I plan on getting to the woodworker's guild eventually, I see that you can also buy lumber from them.

Brian, I will check out Asheville as I need a slab for a mantle project that I am about to start.

Mann Tool & Supply over in Columbia has a good selection of exotic & domestic lumber. PM me if you want to know how I know or need other sources.

If you're coming up to Asheville you might also check out Gennett Lumber down on the river. One bonus is that they are next to a pretty decent barbecue place, 12 Bones. Good luck with the hunt!

And Cormark is a little bit farther up the road in Weaverville. They are a top direct importer of exotics.
