    simple bowl

I don't do a lot of bowls, but thought this turned out all right. Some don't know burl. Some think it might be maple, some think might be birch, and some have said it's black gum. So i'm just calling it DNW. 9 3/4x 3. Finish is just lacquar multi coats of it, then knocked back with steel wool. Will wax and buff in a week or so. Thanks for looking and all C&C welcome as always.

That's a nice bowl and the size is ideal for kitchen duties.

Nice job on the bowl Steve. Hard to beat a nice utility bowl. I really got into woodturning because I wanted to make bowls, and I still do. I don't do as many as I should (or would like), that whole artsy side keeps nudging me into it, but I am easily pulled into the utility stuff that folks will actually use!

Great looking bowl Steve. Simple but elegant.

Good looking bowl - classic form. Really like the HF you are working on and look forward to seeing it once completed!
