Uh! It is urethane tire. Polyurethane is a "finish".
I the tire glued/not glued? Tension issue for the blade? What blade? Is the original tire a rubber tire?
Gotta give us some info before we can help.
Not tyin' to be a smart. Just want to know details.

On the other hand, I still have five fingers.

I don’t think tension on the blade is an issue here. It must be on the tires. But Bill’s right. You need to be a little more specific, Joe.

I'd check with Rikon CS. Rikon machines come with a 5 year warranty so they likely will fix the problem for you. From what is reported on the various WW forums Rikon CS is fairly good. I have a Rikon 18" band saw that's 1 1/2 years old and I haven't had a bit of trouble with it, so I have no personal experience with their CS.

My Rikon 18" is about 6 years old and has the same tires on it. I have always thought the tires were glued on, they don't lift.
