    Mini Birdhouses

Well here are a couple of more out of the dozen more I made this week. Only about 36 or so to go then Christmas is done.

    Bernie,
I admire your stick-to-itiv-ness. You surely have made a lot of little birdy houses. you will make a lot of people smile. That has to be a great feeling. These are very cute. Watch out the squirrels don't snatch them out of the Christmas tree.

    Nice!

Bernie, are you using the wood collet chuck and bamboo skewers for the perch that Bob Hamilton demonstrates in one of his YouTube videos?

Bernie...those are beautiful! I too get bored after 2 pens. This is probably dumb question, but what do you use to get the checkering on the tops ?

Nice work Bernie. Look just like some acorns I saw in the road today. Can't do much better than that!

    Thanks everyone. I appreciate it.

Mike I just use a regular chuck to turn these. Bamboo skewers or 3/16" dowels.

Joe Kieve I use a texture tool made by Sorby. Works great on small turnings. I set it at about a 60* or so angle one way and then turn it 60* or so the opposite way. I just eye ball the angle.
