There is really not much to describe. It's just a screw for shoulder vise. Install was super easy - all I needed was to chisel out square place for it and drill the hole in side skirt. Mounted by inserting screw through that hole and attaching it to opposite site with bracket that was supplied with screw. Square block with dog hole is riding on the screw because it's attached to nut thingy. Full travel distance is only under 4 inches because nut thingy and dog hole block are stealing some space. But it moves super smooth, fast and clamps pretty well.
I was thinking about getting veritas inset vise to get some tail vise functionality but decided that it was too pricy for my junk bench (made of flooring leftovers). Then I was also considering using veneer press screw for this but was afraid it would move slower and handle would be inconveniently small.
