    Beaver Woodworking closing it's doors

I just learned today that Beaver Woodworking in Brockton MA is closing it's doors. I didn't spend as much time there as I'd have liked as their hours were tough for me but it was a good place to get supplies the times I did go.

Makes me sad when a local place closes it's doors.
I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger....then it hit me.

Another one bites the dust. Sad.

I'm sure there is some science to the hours that places stay open but, like John, I find the places around me seem to be open business hours when most of us are at work. If you are selling mostly to contractors like a lumber yard, then this makes sense. The few hundred board feet of walnut I would buy on Sunday doesn't pay them to stay open so, I take my business out of town about once a month. But, a tool, hardware and accessory place like a Rockler opening late and closing early on the weekends? I don't get it. I am sad to see Beaver or any other outfit go out.
