I see nothing feminine about it. Maybe she just wants one, too. Unusual design, what is it made to hold?

As opposed to what? It's a nice box, but I don't think of gender when I look at it.

If the guy uses the box to hold his homemade potpourri.......it's feminine by association, but otherwise it looks manly enough to me.

What, in your Bride's opinion, is unmanly about it?

I tend to agree with her. No doubt the craftsmanship is nice though.

I suggest you fill it with beer, cigars and guns just to be on the safe side.

I don't see the box as being either particularly masculine or feminine. I think it is a well designed, beautiful box but doesn't look like it has to belong to one particular gender over the other.
    Maybe it's a transgender box.

Send it to me. I love boxes, tools, watches and guns.

    BTW, it's very nice work.

I think the box is fine and I can't say that I see anything particularly gender specific about it. I do see a Japanese influence in it and visually associate it with Japanese nobles or Samurai.

Too embellished for me. Definitely not a place for it on this man's dresser! I think your wife wants it.
