    WOB platter

    Havn't had much time for turning lately. So this am i dug this white oak burl platter off the shelf, as it's been dry now for at least 6 weeks. Aprox 9x 1 1/2, and just 1 coat of teak oil as of the pic. Need to stop doing honey dew projects and get back to turning.     That's a great platter. Great form on a fabulous piece of wood. Really like the bead placed in a perfect place.

  10. Nice one Steve! Gotta love that grain........on the front, the feather almost looks like a sun burst pattern with the grain lines running horizontally.........neat effect! Fine work!
