K2 Machines

A friend is thinking about replacing his aging self built machine with a K2. Any body using one and what has been your experience?

I don't know of anyone using these. They have been around for along time and they sell alot of parts for DYI. But do to their pricing has your friend looked at other companies. Like CAMaster or Shop Bot and really do their homework. Also what machine are they looking at from K2?

I own a K2 8" Z and it rocks. They have had a name change I believe.

Yes he is looking at cam and bot as well. He has a Z axis from k2 and was happy with it. But as we all know one part does not make a whole machine so he thought he would ask.
