    ROB plate

    Red oak burl plate. 10 1/2 x7/8. Again nothin special, just a nice piece of wood. It only has 2 coats of teak oil on at this point, but as i eas taking pics of the bowl, thought i'd go ahead and take some of this also.. Again thanks and all C&C welcome.007 (800x791).jpg008 (800x664).jpg

    That is a beauty Steve. I agree it needs to be displayed as the wood is pretty.

    Steve to say "nothin special" is not doing yourself justic they are very very nice indeed, and that wood looks very nice also, it's not a wood I have turned (not seen any for sale here in the UK) but if I do I will give it a go, is it a nice wood to turn (is it like English oak to turn ???) sometimes I am somewhat jealous of the wood/timber you US turners can get hold of, but the again I am sure there are woods we use over here in UK/Europe that you guys over the pond would like to get hold of on a regular basis
    ahh well we can but dream!!!
