    Burl ID

    I was given this burl cap a few years ago and don't know what it is. Can anybody help me identify it?IMG_4761.jpgIMG_4762.jpg

    For perspective, if it matters, it is approx 2" thick

    Kinda looks like Walnut

    Gene, you may be right, but the heartwood has more of a reddish tint than I have seen with walnut. Maybe walnut burl can have a different color than non-burl walnut. Thanks for your reply
