    Powermatic 14" Bandsaw

My father in law has a Powermatic 14" bandsaw (pwbs14) and the blade keeps running off of the top wheel. He has gone through the manual and adjusted it as best he could and still has the problem. He lives a couple of hours away from us and we are spending a few days with them this week so I told him I'd try to find some answers before we come. Any suggestions?

May be the tracking adjustment screw is loose or missing a jam nut or lock.
If it happens during a cut It could also be the rear blade guides are not adjusted correctly.

    Good luck

First thought is that a new blade? Try a second one, it could be that. I had that happen once. Second, are the two wheels co-planer? that can be checked easily. I'd recommend http://www.amazon.com/Bandsaw-Book-L.../dp/1561582891. Someone reccommended that book to me with my first BS, and it helped a lot.
