    that is gorgeous, it will be an heirloom when it is finished for sure. I'm sure looking forward to the mailman cometh.

    Nice work! Sure has a different look to it... like a cross between a number of different woods. Looking forward to seeing it once finished!

    That is a great find Sparky. I did some research online a while back about American Chestnut. Some nonprofits are really working hard to bring back this species. They are also trying to find seed stock that seems resistant to the blight and breeding some of these genetics with the intent on making them immune.

    Watch out for that center piece. It looks like it may be ready to fly out. The bond on the growth ring looks very weak. Beauty!
