    Solar kiln

    I would like to build a solar kiln for the small amount of sawn oak that I have. Unfortunately, my yard has lots of trees and the maximum sun exposure I will get is 4 1/2 to 5 hours. I live in richmond, VA. Anybody know if that's enough sunlight to make it worthwhile, or should I just stick with air drying?

    You could build it and add a dehumidifier to help with the drying.
