Bench on Bench / Bench Riser / Bench Raiser height

My workbench is 35" tall which is about 3" above wrist crease. What are the general thoughts on heights of bench risers (my preferred term)? I know in the end what is comfortable for me is right for me, but some thoughts on getting there would be appreciated. Thanks.

I made mine so that my elbows are at 90 degrees when I rest my arms on it. You can see the build here: http://www.closegrain.com/2011/04/bu...-on-bench.html. So far I've found it very comfortable to use.

Mine puts my elbows at not quite 90 degrees to the top when resting, so that I am at about 90 degrees to the work on the bench/in the vise. I'm 6'2" and the height from the floor is about 44 inches.

Three inches above wrist height IS a bench riser in my way of thinking. Do you plane a lot?
Your endgrain is like your bellybutton. Yes, I know you have it. No, I don't want to see it.
