Is the Beall polishing system useful in polishing acrylics to a high gloss? I know Penn State sells a buffer and compound specifically for acrylic, but if the waxes in the Beall system will do the same thing that would be great.

Dan I use my beall buffing system on acrylics all the time. I will sand my pens to 12000 and then use the tripoli and white diamond to buff them to a high gloss. I have found waxes to be a waste of time on acrylic so I don't buff acrylics with wax.
