How not to make a rocker....

I've been fiddling around with the idea of making a rocker for a while now, and made this mock-up from plywood to see if I've got the angles right.

Scrap delaminated plywood, adjustable headrest (just bend the flat bar keeping it up ), and a lovely texturized finish (old tin of house PVA rolled on)

    Bolted and screwed together.

Except for the arm rests that hurts my arms, surprisingly comfortable. Now to get on with the real thing....

Anybody got any spare time for sale?

That's actually an excellent technique to be sure the geometry of a chair is "right" before you dive into the "real" project...which I hope you'll document in this thread as a work-in-progress progression. (The title can be changed to reflect that) Great start!
