I like Trans Tint dyes from Woodcraft for colors. For black I like India Ink.

The cheapest price on transtint dyes that I have found is at woodfinishersstore.com
    $14.95

Transtint dyes are good, as are Procion MX by Jacquard. I do not care for Transtint black, however, and prefer Fiebings leather dye - USMC black if you can get it. Many blacks are not true black, though India ink does well, too.

Like John, I have been using Jacquard Procion MX from Dick Blicks Art Supply. A little bit mixed with distilled water goes a long way.

For black I use Kiwi Black Edge dressing, comes in a nice squeeze bottle with foam applicator, the rest of the colors I use diluted Fiebings leather dyes

I have ordered from this place, the prices are the best anywhere and the service is fast. I have ordered other finishing products from them besides the dyes and they are good on that stuff too. Jared
