    Couple Dogwood Bowls

Turned these today. They came from a dogwood at a local church. They extended their parking lot, so the dogwood had to go. The bottom is an offering plate I made for them. I had rough turned it a month or so ago and wrapped it in newspaper. The was warped pretty bad, but no cracks. C & C welcome.

I love the bowls that accentuate imperfections!!! Nice job.

Crappy wood needs love too! I find the shape and proportions of both very appealing but I really like the character of the bowl.

However, what I find most impressive is that the wood hasn't split. I've yet to turn something from Dogwood that doesn't eventually split. Well done!
