    My big vase

    I started this last June but it was to big for the lathe I had at the time .I went an picked up a nova dvr 2 weekends ago .I had no problems turning it on the nova lathe . Real smooth and turned nice.I it 25 in tall an 15 in wide walnut maple cherry and yellow heart.

    Mighty pretty and an impressive size too! Hope you continue to enjoy the new DVR also.

    Very nice Chip. The people that do segmenting have a lot of patience.

    That is a large vase. I am wondering about how you turned the inside. I would think that a steady rest and a large boring system would be required.

    I started at the bottom and turn the inside as I added the rings and I also started at the top and added the ring down the vase, an turned the inside of the top .Than tried to get them to join as close as possible to meet both insides together when they med .I also used a steady rest.
