    any thoughts on this machine

Morning all from a very cold Ireland where we have just had a little snow in March

I would love to hear your thoughts on this machine

Suregrave 2516 High Lift computerised Router/ Engraving machine, including EngraveLab 5 Professional Engraving Software. @$4500

I am looking at adding house signs to my engraving buisness am I right in think I dont need A 3D router for this

or if somone could list the basic equipment I would require it would be a very big help

thanks in advance for your advice

    Frank,
Suregrave is a decent machine. Engravelab 5 is pretty outdated, they are on Version 9 now. I do not believe it is compatible with Win 7, plus it could require a DB9 Serial connection from your computer, which may not be available on your computer. Make sure you get the software dongle or you do not have the license to run the software.

    Good Luck,
    Nick

I use a little hobby CNC called a CarveWright for my wood signs. A option for 3D Home Signs is Laser Mask for Sand Blasting and remove the excess material in a Raster Type carve around the protected letters. A small Sand Blaster with the correct Material would be good. Plus you could do Laser Mask Sandblast Glassware too.

    Good Luck,
