    Prime before enamel?

I finished stripping what was left of the old jappaning from the plane I am working on and am about to apply Duplicolor engine enamel to the bare metal as recommended in several threads I have read. I see no mention of priming in the threads. Does anyone know if I should be priming prior to painting?

    Thanks again!

Just make sure you have thoroughly de-greased the metal. Several light coats will be better than one heavy coat.

Best to follow the Duplicolor recommendations...

The instructions here are excellent; I followed them and have had excellent results.
