    shop time

Been trying to get some shop time. These are a few of the newest turning. The peppermill is my first attempt. Its made out of a piece of walnut that was a cutoff for a gun stock. Nice wood. I think it came out pretty good. The wine stoppers are purpleheart & yellowheart with a quarter inserted in the top, a piece of dymondwood with a nickle insert, osage and cedar. These are fun to turn.

Very nice wood and nice craftsmanship Bobby. Good precision on the coin inserts as well. Very inspirational stuff.

    Bobby,

You have been busy on that lathe! I haven't ever seen a coin insert. Great job!

Nice work, Bobby. I especially like the coin inserts. I hadn't thought of that.

I just wish that purple on the cedar would stick around it really looks alot better than the brown it fades into.
