    First Reverse (Diamond) Turning

Here are a couple of shots of my first attempt at turning diamonds. These were inspired by an article by Peter Exton in American Woodturner in Feb. 2010. The article walks you through the process so well that even I could have pretty good success on the first attempt.

The wood is cherry and the accent piece is a bit of acrylic leftover from a pen blank (never throw those scraps away). The piece is about 10" tall.

There are three ways to get something done: Do it yourself, employ someone, or forbid your children to do it.
