    This Weekend's Whittlin

After a change in medication, I was finally able to do some turning this weekend. The vase shape is cherry and is 11" by 6"

The other one is elm and is 10" by 6". Both were finished with Keith Burn's finish. Thanks for looking.

Pete, glad to hear that you are better and were able to get back in the shop. That always makes me feel better whenever I've been down and out or under the weather.
I like them both, but really like your elm turning. The elm has a lot of neat character to it and the shape helps to display those unique characteristics. The cherry is very interesting. At first I did not notice the break in the tapered portion of the vase. Was there a reason for this? I have never seen this done on a tall vase before.
    Keep up the good work.

Looks like you got good pills. Nice work--especially the elm--lots of character.
