These "Treasure Boxes" are made from scrap, left over from larger projects. The left one is made of walnut and quilted maple veneer. The right one is frame-and-panel construction. The frames are bloodwood and the panels are quilted maple veneer. Both boxes are 15"w x 9"d x 6"h. The feet are recessed so that the box appears to float. The finish is General Finishes Polyacrylic, which does not darken the bloodwood as much as oil-based finish. The veneer is from Veneersupplies.com; the solid wood is from my local Woodcraft; the hardware is from LeeValley.com. Please comment.
