    Clamp Organization

old clamp rack.jpgnew clamp racks.JPGMaybe this will someone else. I had been using some racks for clamps I got from Woodpeckers. I realized by making this simple and free racks out of 2X4 scraps, drywallscrews, and OSB I could get a lot more storage and use an unused corner or the shop. My walls are 1/2" OSB so mounting things is easy.

I built one of the a frame type with casters, thing takes up space, but I can roll it to where I'm assembling something. Planning to get my wood storage out of my work area and build an assembly table, so it will be handy then.

I always say, storage is where you find it. Good use of space.

Glenn, you are right. To me wall storage is valuable real estate. I do not understand why people advise drywall for shop walls. OSB is easy to put up and paint and so useful. I guess to each his own. Dan

Maybe because most shops are actually attached garages and must pass a fire code to be legal? I would have prefered T1-11, but my inspector put the kibosh on that idea.
