We have tried every type of file we can. Sounds weird but I cannot get any of them to work correctly when I open them. They are vector files but when I open them as a PDF - that is the only way that is working - I can't change the colors or anything...frustrating. Something simple but just aint working...

Using it in the .svg format, right click in the drawing and choose "unlock object", then right click again and choose "ungroup". That should allow you to change the colors of the individual elements.

Does the inkscape drawing have multiple layers Jeff?

Not sure if this will work.... Inkscape is free, try downloading it and saving it to a format more compatible with Corel. I don't work with Inkscape, maybe some one here does that can save it in a better format for you.

I have tried just about everything. I am thinking there might be something wrong with her inkscape as it will crash my Corel when trying to open a svg file...We have found another way around our problem and hopefully don't need to do down this street again.
