    OOPS! Clicked to soon

These YEW Veneered cabs are for a friend and I want to stain or dye the veneer to take away the look of the Grain.. We both dont
like the grain and I was thinking of applying new veneer but maybe there is a way to salvage what I have..

Any Suggestions to darken the wood as not to notice the Plywood Looking Grain Pattern...

    Thanks for any Help..

    Probably in order of effectiveness:

Use an oil based stain, then topcoat

Use a gel stain, then topcoat

    Paint them a dark color

Use a grain filler, then stain, then topcoat

Fill the grain with spackling compound, then paint

In all cases, the darker the color the less obvious the grain will be.
