I've seen numerous handheld fiber marking guns, but never one with that level of power. That's pretty freakin' impressive.

Yup, that is impressive, but I can only see it being used for the purpose that was on the video. Looks pretty scary actually.

they use similar things to clean dirt and grime of of old buildings as it has no effect on stone/brickwork, if i had to hazard a guess at the laser power i would have put it at around 100 watts, certainly not 1000 !! oddly if you put your had under this is would probably not hurt to much compared to a 50 watt co2 which would be instant agony, i would recommend neither!!
Makes a joke of laser safety, which if you take the time to look at the rules are a joke anyway.

Good point.. I don't think I'd want to try it indoors without a good ventilator hood and lots of suction.

It's a PA business and a 2007 web site... I called the number and yes, they are still in business... Interesting.... I bet it would clean a Laser Grid...

It reminds me of dry ice blasting, which would most likely be much safer.

Same technology to clean rubber tire molds. Live action starts at around the 0:25 mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FR5igVhp7c

Another, live action at the 0:16 mark. This time cleaning a concrete wall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h440F37nGKw

This one is a neat use: cleaning stone monuments. Personally that noise would get horribly annoying after a short time and with such a small spot size it would seem every project would take a long time to compelte. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yR1MQWRm_-s
